Ghost

Save me

From fear.

Fear of a life unfulfilled;

Held-in anger, distilled.

Left broken alone,

No statue in stone;

Unremembered and lost,

Wasted scrap, tossed.

Abandoned to live,

Though you give and you give

And you give and you give

And you give and you give

Just to live.

Just to brighten tomorrow;

Bonded in sorrow.

Planned obsolescence,

Returned to our essence;

Manufactured massacre

Of mindless passengers

Dissolved into atoms,

Far forgotten phantoms

In a universe unfathomed.

Unchain me

From fear.

Fear of falling, stagnation;

No home, nor foundation.

Left to wander, a ghost;

No storied past.

No one living to host;

Memories fade far too fast.
